The Northwell Health Ice Center is the most popular venue for ice hockey and figure skating in addition to being the official training facility of the New York Islanders. It is also the coolest site on Long Island.  The state-of-the-art facility includes a rehabilitation center, an exceptional strength and conditioning gym, two NHL-sized rinks, and the New York Islanders Pro Shop, among other amenities. 

Programs are available for skaters of every age and ability level at the Northwell Health Ice Center Skating School, which is widely considered to be the best skating school on Long Island. Skaters who are interested in pursuing either the leisure pleasures of skating or the aspiration of competing in the Olympics should consider purchasing one of these. 

On their coaching staff are members who have been ranked at the national, international, world, and Olympic levels. All of the coaches at the Northwell Health Ice Center Skating School are active members of the Professional Skaters Association (PSA), and they are committed to fostering an atmosphere that is both enjoyable and secure for the skaters in their care.

Learn to Skate USA is the organization whose curriculum is used by the Skating School offered at the Northwell Health Ice Center. The participants in this program will be able to obtain the requisite abilities to either skate for leisure or to move to a competitive framework of U.S. Figure Skating competition if they so want. 

The Northwell Health Ice Center is the place to go whether you want to take a class to learn how to skate or participate in a comprehensive training program to become an elite figure skater. The facility is brand new and state of the art, so you can enjoy the experience while you are there.

They strongly encourage everyone to get tickets online as early as possible due to the fact that several of the public sessions have sold out.  There are only a very few tickets available for purchase at the rink.

The in-house hockey programs at Northwell Health Ice Center provide young players with the ideal environment in which to develop their hockey talents. All players ages 5 to 12 are welcome to participate in our instructional programs.
